If you are new here, we're so glad you found us. We are a diverse family consisting of those curious about or captivated by Jesus’ life. We gather each Sunday morning join up with the 2000 year old tradition of worship, wrestling with the Bible, and becoming authentic spiritual family.
Because God’s Spirit is already at work everywhere, we want to be good and engaged neighbours here and around the world as we replant and revitalize our church in Southeast Vancouver.
We exist to love our city and to invite our neighbours to flourish by rooting our lives in the outrageous love and life of Jesus.
Jeremiah 29:7, 1 John 4:7-8, Ephesians 3:17, Colossians 1:17, Colossians 1:28-29, John 13:34-35, John 3:16-17

In addition to our historic and denominational affiliation with the North American Baptist Conference, Pilgrim Church is a Jesus Collective Partner Church, a group of Jesus followers who believe the time is right to unite, equip, and amplify a movement that is all about Jesus. Click on "Our Networks/Partners" to learn more about the NAB and JC. We believe a more connected, relational network of churches and leaders could give greater unity, voice, and visibility to this Jesus-centred, third-way movement, develop and support future-ready leaders, and equip more churches to make more disciples in a post-Christian context.
Jesus Collective combines a bold vision with a gentle, irenic voice for the Jesus Way. We value the Jesus-centred theology, but also the practical focus on leadership formation, support for women in pastoral leadership, and the opportunity to unite with others who care deeply about bringing Jesus’ love to our communities and our world. -Ken Shigematsu, Senior Pastor Tenth Church (Christian & Missionary Alliance), Vancouver, BC
Five Core Commitments we share with our Jesus Collective network:
1. God always looks like Jesus, and all scripture is properly read through him. (Jesus-centered)
2. To be saved includes belonging to a community under Jesus called to live the life of the future now. (Kingdom-focused)
3. Evil is overcome through the power of suffering love. (Peace-making)
4. The Holy Spirit empowers us to partner in God’s work of reconciling all things. (Spirit-driven)
5. The Church is defined by our shared center, not by the lines we draw. (Centered-set)
