Habits to Develop+Tools
Our desires can be shaped by practices, which ultimate change what we love. This is important because what we love drives and motives us like nothing else. Rituals are basically habit forming acts that can bring about new desires and shape our loves. There are person and group practices that we can lean into to be transformed into all that God has for us. Below are some we use:
Doing Relationships as a Believer
Christians are called to be a new humanity while honouring God-created diversity. How do we do this? We follow Jesus' teachings, having prayed to be filled with His Spirit. We call this peace-making.
Relational wisdom, in essence, is the desire and ability to live out Jesus’ two Great Commandments, namely, to love God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself (Matt. 22:37-39). Behaviours to learn:

A witness to the climax of the Chinese revolution in 1949, he was expelled with many other foreigners in 1951 and returned to Europe where he was educated in England. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of London and his D.Phil in the social sciences from Oriel College, Oxford. Os has written or edited more than thirty books with his latest book is Fool’s Talk – The Recovery of Christian Persuasion, which was published by InterVarsity Press in June, 2015. Os has spoken at dozens of the world’s major universities, and spoken widely to political and business conferences on many issues, including religious freedom, across the world. He is currently a senior fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics in Oxford, though he still lives with his wife Jenny in the Washington, DC, area. |
